Areronca K
The Aeronautical Corporation of America (AERONCA) at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, Ohio, manufactured this airplane in 1937. The "Scout" is a sidebyside, twoseat cabin monoplane. It is powered by a 40 hp Aeronca engine and has a cruising speed of 85 mph. This type of airplane is called a "tail dragger" as the third wheel is at the tail as opposed to a "nosewheel" or "tricycle" plane. The aircraft is still airworthy.
