F4 Phantom II

This Phantom first flew in December 1967. It saw service with Marine and Navy squadrons. Before coming to AMK it was displayed at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. Although retired from US service the Phantom remains a popular airplane. During the Vietnam War Kentucky's former Governor, Ernie Fletcher, piloted a Phantom. The F4 is sometimes known as The Phree World's Phinest Phighter. Our F4 restoration volunteers called themselves The Phabulous Phantom Phixers.

The aircraft can be found in Hangar A.
