Planned gifts can help the contributor in some of the following ways:

Current legislation still allows for the donation of up to $100,000 from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), or
other qualified retirement plan, to a charitable organization without incurring tax on the withdrawal. Your tax advisor
can provide you with the most up-to-date information.

Maximize your giving while minimizing your out-of-pocket cost.

If you are at least 70.5 years of age, you can choose a “qualified charitable distribution,” or QCD, method of giving by moving money directly from your pretax traditional IRA or 401(k) plan. The QCD will satisfy a portion, if not all, of your “required minimum distribution” or RMD. And the QCD amount can be excluded from your taxable income, potentially lowering your tax liability. (Note: Maximum QCU exclusion is limited to $100,000 per taxpayer per year).”

The AMK is ready to work with you, your family, and your advisors to help you make the gift that best meets your personal goals. Whatever you want your gift to accomplish, we’ll work together to make it happen.
