ASR-Pioneer, whose headquarters is located in Nicholasville, Kentucky, is looking toward the future of safety in aviation. Their goal is to save lives. As former company president and CEO, Larry Williams has said, "We can't prevent the failure, but we might be able to prevent the fatality."

A concept that was initially conceived in the early 1960s with the idea of safely landing the plane in the event of a catastrophic in-flight emergency. Once in trouble, the System would cause the wings to detach, then parachutes would be deployed from the falling wings, as well as the fuselage, and all would descent safety to the ground. Aviation Safety Resources, A S R was founded in 2000 as a private company to see if it could generate interest in the whole plane recovery system concept. Larry Williams saw value in what ASR was trying to do and understood the need for advanced safety products in the emerging Urban Air Mobility Advanced Air Mobility market could be met with the technology that ASR had developed.

While the ASR-Pioneer Headquarters is in Nicholasville, KY, they have a presence in four other locations. Milton, Florida; Bloomfield, Connecticut; Orlando, FL; and Columbia, Mississippi. They have more than 165 employees and have had more than four and a half million parachute deliveries.
