BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers work with the public and behind the scenes, all to deliver our mission of using aviation as a gateway for people to embrace adventure and innovation while using tools of science to explore how the physical world works and how the dream of flight is made into reality. Depending on their skills and interests, volunteers serve as docents, public programming facilitators, and librarians and even work on exhibit fabrication and aircraft restoration projects. AMK operates six days per week, morning and afternoon shifts:  Tuesday thru Saturday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
(Winter Hours: January-March: Tuesday thru Friday: 11 am to 4 pm, Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday: 1 pm to 5 pm.)

As an AMK volunteer, I will act, dress, and professionally perform all duties. I understand that some volunteer positions at the Museum provide individual service to our visitors. As a volunteer, I will be expected to be diplomatic in all dealings with the public. I agree to attend scheduled shifts and training sessions and support Quarterly AMK Meetings. I will give timely notice of any SCHEDULE CHANGES or absences via Volgistics or inform the Operations Manager and advise of any changes in my CONTACT INFORMATION. BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED:By signing this application, I consent to a background check conducted by VICTIG Screening Solutions, who will request certain personal information by email. Your reply to VICTIG will be required. Volunteer positions may also require a background check for a BGA Security Badge.
