The Aviation Museum is the official Aviation Hall of Fame for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as designated in 1994 by the Kentucky General Assembly.
Beginning with its charter enshrinement in October 1996, the Kentucky Aviation Hall of Fame has honored Kentuckians (and those with close ties to Kentucky). They have made significant contributions to aviation and aerospace. In addition to enshrining individuals into the Hall of Fame, the annual Aviation Achievement Award is given to an organization or individual that has excelled in the field of aviation or aerospace or the promotion of Aviation in Kentucky.
